Likkle Mai

Likkle Mai @Pipeline Cafe 11/13
Opening: Rootikal Riddim&&Humble Soul
I missed the last time she came down and I'm pretty bummed that Dry & Heavy is no more, but this show was good fun. Kelsey and I pre-gamed at Stef's house with Derek and headed over a bit later to avoid the long lines. And we were stoked when we got there, NO LINE. At Twinkle Brothers the line was ridiculous! We got in right when Humble Soul was taking the stage. Pipeline was pretty empty and there was a lot of room, which is always nice. I haven't seen them play in a while and they played a lot of their classic songs. Got pretty busss by the time Likkle Mai took the stage.

She was great; sang a lot of her Dry & Heavy songs with a few new ones (which were in Japanese and tripping me out). She played a long set, and had a three or four song encore. The crowd loved her. This has probably been the best show I've been to in the past few years.

Bravo

It was pouring on Tuesday and Kelsey and I were craving Italian food, and Bravos is just right next door.
I had the Baked Rigatoni.
Amazing.

Kelsey had the Italian Sausage.
It was just as awesome.

And who could say no to Bravos garlic bread? They even give you a take out plate full of it when you leave. Every time we eat there it is packed, so we just sit at the bar. The bartender remembers us and is quite hilarious. Usually after finishing our plates Kelsey and I are too stuffed to have any dessert, but this time we tried the Spumoni. Never had it before, and it was pretty good.

Muy Bueno.
